The FAAR Educational Fund was established in 2018 to honor Dr. Eve A Tamayo, FAAR charter member, past president, board member and long-time FAAR advisor who believes education is one of the keys to life's success. This year, the community was encouraged to donate to the fund with a Scholarship match, of up to $10,000, by the Natarajan Family to help us establish and endow the scholarship fund. The FAAR 2022 community was able to raise $5,000 in the time allotted for the match and we are now in a position to accept applications and give away scholarships! This year, the scholarship committee decided to award 2 scholarships.
We had 2 wonderful worthy candidates who received $500 to go towards educational expenses. We look forward to receiving the next round of applications.
We are very proud to have both of these women as members of our community and congratulate both Pure and Meg as the first recipients of the Dr. Eve A Tamayo FAAR Educational Scholarship.
